Rosh Hashana to Go

L&W Market in Bridgehampton is offering to-go meals for the celebration of the Jewish New Year. Appetizers include matzo ball soup, smoked bluefish pate, chopped liver, and mezze and crudite platters.

Among the main courses are red-wine-braised brisket, whole roasted chicken, and braised duck, Sephardic style. Sides include classic kugel, rosemary roasted fingerlings, baby carrots, and challah. Milk Pail apple crisp is the dessert.

Orders must be placed by noon on Tuesday either on the website, where the complete menu can be found, or by calling 631-537-1123.

Wolffer’s Harvest Party

Tickets are now available for Wolffer Estate Vineyard’s annual harvest party, which will take place on Oct. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. in the field just east of the wine stand at 3312 Montauk Highway in Sagaponack. The celebration will include live music, food stations, wines, ciders, beer, family-friendly games, hayrides, a bouncy house, and more.

Tickets, which are likely to sell out well in advance, are $195, $185 for wine club members, $95 for children ages 3 to 20, and free for those under 3 (a ticket will be needed for entry even for the littlest). No tickets will be sold on site.

Oysters, Live and on Canvas

The Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons in Bridgehampton will celebrate the changing of the seasons with an oyster feast tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. Bivalves on the half shell will be provided by Shellworks, a family-operated sea farm in Southampton.

WACH’s current exhibition, “Feast: A Still Life,” features oysters on canvas as well as other food-inspired art works. Reservations for the oyster feast can be made by emailing [email protected].

New at Bell and Anchor

The Bell and Anchor in Sag Harbor has announced new daily specials to be offered Tuesdays through Sundays (but not Fridays or Saturdays) starting at 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s special is chicken Milanese, which includes an appetizer and sides, for $36. Lobster reigns on Wednesdays, with an appetizer and a choice of lobster garganelli for $42, a steamed 1.5-pound lobster for $65, or a butter-poached lobster tail and grilled filet mignon for $72.

Thursday is bouillabaisse night. The main course includes white fish, a lobster tail, mussels, clams, and shrimp in a tomato-saffron broth. With an appetizer, the cost is $48.

Steamed mussels and frites are on offer two ways on Sundays, either with coconut milk, lemongrass, and Thai chiles, or with garlic, white wine, lemon-thyme, cream, and tomatoes. The cost, with appetizer, is $34.

A Chowder Extravaganza for Springs Food Pantry

The Springs Food Pantry’s annual Chowdah Chowdown fund-raiser will return to the Springs Tavern and Grill on Saturday afternoon with all-you-can-eat chowder and soup from local chefs, live music by Josh Brussell, a mocktail bar, and a 50-50 raffle with a cash prize.
