The patio at Fresno

For Future Chefs
The Careers through Culinary Arts Program, a nonprofit that helps under-served teens develop cooking, job, and life skills, will hold a cocktail party benefit with food from Nick and Toni's, Almond, Carissa's Bakery, and other local restaurants from 6 to 8 next Thursday in the gardens at Guild Hall. The event will include an auction featuring travel and food experiences. The cost is $250 per person, and includes a gift bag. Guests are asked to dress in greens or botanical patterns in keeping with the party's theme of regrowth. Tickets are available on Guild Hall's website.

At Fresno
Fresno in East Hampton has four special entrees. A surf and turf dinner with grilled filet mignon, head-on prawn, a potato pancake, and sauteed spinach is $62; grilled swordfish with roasted confetti potatoes, wild mushrooms, sauteed fiddlehead fern, and black truffle butter is $42; grilled rack of lamb with crushed rainbow potatoes, grilled asparagus, and a bordelaise sauce is $52, and, while supplies last, chicken Milanese with a slow-roasted tomato sauce, mixed greens, and goat cheese is $39.
