Trapeze Experience has set up a flying trapeze school for kids ages 6 and up, and adults who weigh up to 250 pounds, at the Hayground School in Bridgehampton. Classes are limited to five people per session, starting at $150 each (with discounts available with the purchase of multiple-class packages). Private lessons are also available. More information is online at trapeze-experience.com/classes.

Creative Prompts for Kids

The John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor posts a writing prompt for children each week. Today's theme is "Imagine that dogs take over the world. What would they make humans do?" Kids should free-write their ideas without editing for 10 to 20 minutes, and then share their works by email to [email protected] or on social media by tagging #jjmlibrary.

The library also does a weekly STEAM challenge — that stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics — for kids. This week's is to make a "camping tent" for a Lego figure or small doll using toothpicks, marshmallows, and tissues or napkins. For those who need a bit of help, there's a guide on the activity calendar listing at johnjermain.org.

Virtual Tour, Art Class

Every other Tuesday this summer, Joyce Raimondo, an artist and the education coordinator at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs, offers a free virtual tour of the well-known artists' studio and leads an art lesson for children afterward. The next session will be on Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. Registration is required. For more information, Ms. Raimondo can be reached at [email protected].
