“It has to do with women, their sacrifices and strength, and of course politics,” Philip Schultz, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, said about “Enormous Morning,” his latest book of poems. Mr. Schultz will be at The Church in Sag Harbor to share excerpts from the book and chat with April Gornik, a co-founder of the arts center, on Saturday at 6 p.m. Ms. Gornik’s painting “Light Bending the World” is featured on the book’s cover.

Mr. Schultz is the author of two memoirs, a novel in verse, and eight other poetry collections, and his work has been published in The New Yorker, Poetry, The New Republic, and The Paris Review, among others.

Copies of “Enormous Morning” will be available for purchase and can be signed by the author after the talk. Tickets are $20, $15 for members.
