Ellsworth Kelly Reception

In conjunction with its new exhibition, “Ellsworth Kelly: Eight Decades,” the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill will host a conversation about Kelly’s work and legacy with Jack Shear, the president of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation, and Glenn Fuhrman, the founder of the FLAG Art Foundation, on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Presented with that foundation, the show spans more than 80 years of the artist’s work and brings together paintings, drawings, photographs, and a sculpture. The talk will be followed at 3 by a reception, for which advance registration has been recommended. Tickets are $30, $25 for members’ guests, and free for members, resident benefits passholders, students, and children.

Artists Connect in Noyac

As part of “Connections,” a group show at the studio-gallery of Dan Welden, Scott Bluedorn, Denise Gale, Chris Lucore, and Aurelio Torres will be on hand with Charlene Ortiz and Mr. Welden on Sunday at 2 p.m. to discuss how art draws people together as a community and adds color and light during dark times.

The studio is at 1649 Millstone Road in Noyac. Appointments to see the show, which is on view through April 4, can be made by emailing Andrea Sher, the curator, at [email protected].
