Savannah LeCornu, a self-taught artist from Alaska whose work celebrates Indigenous peoples, is the next guest in LongHouse's InsiderOutsider series.

The InsiderOutsider series at LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton focuses on underrepresented artists who challenge convention and expand the boundaries of contemporary art.

The next program, set for Sunday at 3 p.m., will feature Savannah LeCornu, a self-taught artist from Ketchikan, Alaska, who is Tsimshian, Haida, and Nimiipuu, more commonly known as the Nez Perce tribe. Ms. LeCornu will talk about her drawings and paintings in both digital and traditional formats, as well as her beadwork. Her intention is to create modern accessible art that celebrates Indigenous peoples.

Attendees will be provided with paper materials to create small abstract collages that may be reconstructed into larger pieces later this year by Ms. LeCornu.

The program is moderated by Mago, an artist and curator, in collaboration with Jeremy Dennis and the artists in residence at Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio. Tickets are $20, free for members and students.
