A music-packed week at LTV Studios will kick off Friday evening at 7:30 with a jazz concert featuring the Camille Thurman Quintet and conclude on Tuesday with Corky Laing’s “Rock Revue,” with cabaret and jazz piano sandwiched in between.
Ms. Thurman excels as both a jazz vocalist and tenor saxophonist, according to DownBeat magazine, which said, “Imagine if Sarah Vaughan played saxophone like Dexter Gordon. That’s approximately the effect when singer and tenor saxophonist Camille Thurman performs.”
A Bronx native and graduate of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s touring ensemble, she gained national attention as a featured member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, becoming one of the first women to tour and record extensively with the group. Her performances show her command of swing, bebop, and blues, both vocally and instrumentally.
As a bandleader, Ms. Thurman has headlined numerous notable concert venues and jazz festivals worldwide, including the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, and the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, $10 for students, and $60 for cafe table seating with a drink included.
The Hamptons Songbook by the Sea series will bring “Nice Work if You Can Get It” to the Wainscott venue on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The cabaret jubilee features KT Sullivan, Mark Nadler, Marta Sanders, and Natalie Douglas.
Ms. Sullivan teamed with Steve Ross in the Irish Rep’s sold-out run of “Love, Noël” in 2019. She starred in the Broadway revival of “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” and headlined for almost two decades in the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel. Besides regular appearances at such New York venues as the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Birdland, 54 Below, and Cafe Sabarsky, she stars annually at the Pheasantry in London and has performed at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall.
A singer, pianist, tap dancer, and comedian, Mark Nadler has performed at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops Orchestra and has been a soloist with symphonies in Baltimore, Indianapolis, and Portland, Ore. He starred in and co-wrote “American Rhapsody,” an Off Broadway musical based on the music of George Gershwin that was nominated for a Drama Desk and two Lucille Lortel Awards and won the Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) Award for outstanding musical revue. He and Ms. Sullivan are frequent collaborators.
Ms. Sanders, who has sung in cabarets and nightclubs around the world, was Eloise in the original Broadway production of “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.” She has won MAC awards for outstanding female vocalist and lifetime achievement and a Bistro Award for consummate cabaret artist.
Also a multiple award winner, Ms. Douglas has performed at Carnegie Hall, Cafe Carlyle, the Kennedy Center, and the Pheasantry in London, as well as at many cabaret conventions presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation. She has produced and performed in 80 concerts at Birdland, including her “Tribute” series celebrating such artists as Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, Lena Horne, and Ella Fitzgerald.

LTV, in partnership with Hamptons JazzFest, will bring Julius Rodriguez to the stage as part of its McIver Jazz Piano Series, on Monday at 6 p.m. Mr. Rodriguez began classical piano studies as a child and later studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard School.
He blends jazz with gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and pop, giving his work a contemporary edge. He has performed with Wynton Marsalis, A$AP Rocky, and Meshell Ndegeocello. Jazz Times said in a review of his debut album, “His artistry is fundamentally imbued with the heft of tradition and a defining character of soulfulness.”

Best known as the drummer for the classic rock bands Mountain and West, Bruce & Laing, he is the last surviving member of both bands, for which he co-wrote such hits as “Mississippi Queen,” “Why Dontcha,” and “For Yasgur’s Farm.”
