Musical Benefit
Tasting Notes, a fund-raiser for the Hamptons Festival of Music, will combine a wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and a chamber concert at Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The concert will be performed by Annie Chalex Boyle, a guest artist, on violin, and David Palmer on piano. The program will include music by Kreisler, de Falla, Beethoven, and Ravel. A surprise musical aperitif has also been promised.
The wines, chosen by Lisa Schock, Park Place Wines and Liquors’ certified master sommelier, have been selected to mirror the emotional character of the music. For example, a Cascina del Torcc Barolo will accompany Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” Sonata. Moby’s restaurant will serve three hors d’oeuvres, plated on site.
Tickets are $250.
