Free to Dance
"Meritos," a dance performance by Claudia Hilda, a Cuban-born New York-based dancer and choreographer, will happen at The Church in Sag Harbor Friday at 6 p.m.

During the performance, Ms. Hilda is adorned by "merits," represented by golden medals whose weight seems at first impossible to shed. However, she slowly peels them off, an action which, according to a release, symbolizes her liberation from the shackles of conformity.

A solo performance of "Meritos" will be followed by a screening of additional works from her "Las Republicas" series, which features the body as a symbol of resistance.

Tickets are $10, free for members, who are required to R.S.V.P.

Comedy and More
The All Star Comedy series will return to Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater on Saturday at 8 p.m. with performances by Pete Cestaro, Marc Gerber, and Harris Stanton.

In addition to regular appearances at comedy clubs, Mr. Cestaro has hosted "The Big Game" on CBS and AMC's "Date Night." Mr. Gerber has been featured on CNN's "RunningMate" podcast, "The Steve Harvey Show," and MTV. Mr. Stanton tours nationally and internationally and has been featured on BET's "Comic View."

Tickets are $37 to $47, $47 to $57 on the day of the show.

On-Camera Scene Work, a six-session workshop led by Meghan Rafferty, a New York-based casting director and actor, will launch Saturday morning from 10 to noon and continue through April 20.

Open to those 16 and older, each participant will be given a new scene to work on each week. Ms. Rafferty will offer feedback and give advice on all aspects of self-taping.

The cost is $300. More details are on the theater's website.

Virtual Book Group
The Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons will hold its next winter book group meeting over Zoom on Saturday morning at 11. The discussion features three books selected and described by an alliance member, often with accompanying slides.

Saturday's books are "Noah's Garden: Restoring the Ecology of Our Own Back Yards" by Sara Stein; "English Gardens: From the Archives of Country Life Magazine" by Kathryn Bradley-Hole, and "American Roots: Lessons and Inspirations From the Designers Reimagining Our Home Gardens" by Nick McCullough, Allison McCullough, and Teresa Woodard.

The program is free to all. Members will receive a link via email; nonmembers can register on the alliance website.

Comedy Film Fest
The Sticks and Stones Comedy Club will return to the Southampton Cultural Center Friday evening at 7 with a selection of short comedy films and live performances by four stand-up veterans.

The films include Andrea Rosen's "Carol & Janet," "Rewriting: The Journey of a Joke" by Kyle Mara, and the mini-golf episode from the "Jack and Brendan Show," directed by Jack Adam. After the films, Mr. Adam, Mr. Mara, Peter Cestaro, and Joe Winchell will perform stand-up sets.

Tickets are $35, $50 for reserved seating, $70 for V.I.P. treatment. Doors will open at 6:30 for drinks and snacks.

Sip and Sketch
Bay Street Theater has partnered with A.I.A. Peconic to host Sip & Sketch Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the theater. Open to architects and anyone who would like to sketch on a napkin, the evening will start with brief networking, after which prompts for sketching will be provided.

Participants have been asked to bring their favorite writing utensils. For sipping, a 50 percent-off cash bar will be available. Tickets are $5 for A.I.A. members, $8 for others. A registration link is on the A.I.A. Peconic website

Cultural Sag Harbor
After a hiatus, the Southampton Town Arts and Culture Committee will relaunch SHACC on the Road V, a bus trip to Sag Harbor for a tour of its art and culture, on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Led by Town Councilmen Tommy John Schiavoni and Michael A. Iasilli, Georgette Grier-Key of the Eastville Community Historical Society, and Hope Sandrow, an artist and the committee chairwoman, the tour will visit Bay Street Theater, Temple Adas Israel, and The Church.

The bus will leave Southampton Town Hall at 10 and return there at 2. The trip is free, but seating is limited. Reservations will be confirmed in the order received by email to [email protected].
