Stranger Days
Adam O'Farrill, an award-winning trumpeter, composer, and curator of the music series at the Arts Center at Duck Creek in Springs, will bring his quartet, Stranger Days, to that venue on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Of the group's most recent album, "Visions of Your Other," The Wall Street Journal wrote, "Mr. O’Farrill’s music is refined and discreet; it integrates aspects of art rock and contemporary classical music and boasts a cinematic influence." The New York Times and Boston Globe named "Visions" one of the best albums of 2021.

Mr. O'Farrill will also offer insights on his selection of musicians for the series and what it means to organize a free music series.

Beach chairs have been suggested, and picnics will be welcomed.

Dance Party at LTV
LTV Studios in Wainscott has invited everyone to put on their dancing shoes for its Dance Night With Mambo Loco on Saturday evening.

Mambo Loco has been performing the classic music of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican origin on Long Island since 2001. The group features Larry Belford, lead vocals and percussion; Bill Smith, piano and vocals; Cristian Rivera, percussion and vocals, and Wayne Burgess, bass and vocals.

Doors will open at 7, and the event will begin at 7:30. Beer from the Springs Brewery, wine, and water will be available for purchase.

Folk, Funk, Bluegrass
Thanks to the Friends of Southampton's Rogers Memorial Library, Cold Chocolate, an Americana band from Boston, will perform there next Thursday at 6 p.m.

Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar and Ariel Bernstein on percussion, the band, which fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass, is known for tight harmonies, skillful musicianship, and a focus on songwriting. They have shared bills with Leftover Salmon and David Grisman, and perform regularly up and down the East Coast.

Registration is required.

A Renewed Focus on Fresh Fish

Dock to Dish, a restaurant-supported fishery cooperative founded in Montauk in 2012, has new owners and a renewed focus on getting fresh-from-the-boat seafood directly into the kitchens of restaurants across the East End and the New York area. And the fact that most of the owners are also fishermen doesn’t hurt.
