Amy Wickersham's "Pink Moon" is on view at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in Bridgehampton.

Faye and Wickersham in Bridge
Coco Myers’s Folioeast will pop up at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in Bridgehampton on Sunday with “Texture and Tone,” a show of new paintings by Eva Faye and Amy Wickersham.

The works on view explore both actual and perceived textures, using rich, saturated tones in unexpected combinations. Ms. Faye creates organic configurations with layers of oil paint that is applied, removed, and applied again. The patterns appear to hover above the surface of the canvas.

Ms. Wickersham’s mixed-media pieces feature a layering of dyed silk and acrylic paint. The silk is visible on the surface, sometimes outside the edge of the canvas, and the layering adds visual depth.

The exhibition will remain on view through Jan. 30. Gallery hours are noon to 5, Thursdays through Mondays, or by appointment by calling 917-592-8033.

This article has been changed from its print version to reflect the change of the closing date to Jan. 30.

Really, really big.
