Bay Street Seminars
Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor has announced a four-part series of free online seminars sponsored by AARP Long Island that will begin next Thursday at 6 p.m. with “Intro to Acting.” Allen O’Reilly, the theater’s education director, will lead the 90-minute class, during which participants will be introduced to concepts of annunciation, delivery, staging, and pacing.

Subsequent programs, all of which are recommended for adults 18 and over, will include “IMPROVing Your Life with IMPROV!” (Oct. 15) with Scott Baker, an actor and comedian; “Writing Your Life Story” (Nov. 12) with Will Pomerantz, the theater’s associate artistic director, and “Public Speaking” (Dec. 10), with Paul Hecht, a theater, film, and television actor.

Advance registration is required for each class.

Virtual Comedy
“Lockdown,” a virtual comedy program that will benefit the Southampton Cultural Center, will happen Saturday afternoon on Zoom from 2:30 to 4. Presented by Metropolitanzoom, which specializes in virtual cabaret, jazz, and comedy experiences, the show will not only include New York City comics both established and emerging, but will also allow for audience participation.

The $10 tickets and more information are available at metropolitanzoom.com.
