G.E. Smith Returns
Guild Hall’s Portraits series, hosted by the guitarist G.E. Smith and produced by Taylor Barton, will return with three concerts, one virtual and two live, featuring Mr. Smith, LeRoy Bell, and music from their soon-to-be released album, “Stony Hill.”

The virtual program, set for next Thursday evening at 7:30, will open with a set by Joseph Arthur, a singer-songwriter and painter, who will paint Mr. Smith as they perform together. Mr. Smith and Mr. Bell will then play songs from their new album. Tickets are $40, and a streaming link will be sent 24 hours before the show.

Mr. Smith and Mr. Bell will celebrate the release of their album with live concerts on Friday, Aug. 28, at 7 and 9 p.m. in Guild Hall’s backyard theater. The duo will showcase a stripped-down acoustic set from the R&B song collection, including “America,” Mr. Bell’s anthem on the current state of the nation. Tickets are $200 for one lawn circle, which will seat one or two people. Guests have been advised to take their own blankets or chairs.

Dreyfuss and Mason
Bay Street Theater will present Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason in a virtual staged reading of “The Letters of Noël Coward” on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Directed by Bob Balaban, the play draws from correspondence among Coward, the writer Graham Greene, and the actor Alec Guinness in the years following their collaboration on “Our Man in Havana,” a 1959 comedic spy film based on Greene’s novel.

Selected and organized by Mr. Balaban, the letters celebrate the writers’ wit, conviviality, and candor as they discuss life, art, and show business. Bay Street’s edition of the play reunites the stars of the Neil Simon film “The Goodbye Girl,” which earned Mr. Dreyfuss a best actor Oscar and Ms. Mason a best actress nomination.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased on the theater’s website. Ticket buyers will receive a link to the program by email an hour before show time. After the show, a discussion with Mr. Balaban will take place via Zoom.

Outdoor Screenings
Southampton Art Center’s outdoor screenings will continue this weekend with a free showing of Rob Marshall’s musical “Chicago,” presented with the Hamptons International Film Festival, tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. Advance reservations have been strongly suggested and will be honored until 7:45, after which stand-by guests will be admitted.

On Sunday, Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton will present a selection of inspiring short documentaries, also outdoors, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15, $12 for members, and will be honored only until 7:45.
