Members Exhibition Online

Guild Hall’s 82nd Artist Members Exhibition, which opened in the museum on March 7, is now available online in two formats.

Each of the 435 artworks can be seen individually along with its specifications, sale price, and purchasing options. Moving a cursor over each image yields a close-up view. In addition, two tracking shots reminiscent of the film “1917” float through the galleries to afford a glimpse of each work and the overall installation.

“I could not have imagined a better exhibition to be ‘quarantined’ in the Guild Hall Museum right now,” said its director and chief curator, Christina Strassfield.

New at Halsey McKay

Halsey McKay Gallery in East Hampton is launching two solo exhibitions on Saturday for passersby and with the hope it will be able to reopen its space in the coming weeks. “Never Paint a Ladder” features paintings of rural architectural spaces by Henry Glavin that move between graphic silhouettes, ink washes, and impasto brushstrokes.

“All the Distant Places” presents abstract works created by Miranda Fengyuan Zhang in wool on wood panels that focus on the relationships between form and content and blur the line between handicrafts and “high” art.
