Assault With a Flower Pot

An East Hampton man was charged with a felony early Sunday morning after allegedly throwing a flower pot at the head of another man at Pepperoni’s Pizza in East Hampton.

According to the complaint, Daniel Colin-Garduno, 27, threw the pot, which contained a plant and soil, at the other man just after midnight. It hit him in the face, police said, causing multiple lacerations that required immediate medical attention.

The alleged assailant was arrested at the scene, charged with second-degree assault, taken to village headquarters for processing, and held for the remainder of the night. In the morning, he appeared in town court before Justice Steven Tekulsky, who released him on his own recognizance with an order to return on Oct. 15.

Another East Hampton man was charged with a felony on Sept. 10, accused of filming a woman in the shower last month without her consent.  Neighborhood House Drive in East Hampton was the location.

The complaint, which town police released this week, alleges that Bryan Tuba Coraisaca, 23, used a Samsung cellphone to film the woman “for his own sexual arousal or sexual gratification” on the night of Aug. 21. He was arrested three weeks later. Charged with unlawful surveillance in the second degree, he appeared before Justice David Filer an hour after his arrest, and was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Justice Court on Oct. 22, and has retained private counsel.
