Four Wanted for Using Counterfeit Money in Bridgehampton

According to the police, surveillance footage shows four men buying merchandise with counterfeit money.

The Southampton Town Police Department and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are searching for four men who they say used fake $10 and $20 bills to buy merchandise at Walgreens in Bridgehampton Commons last week.

According to a joint press release, the incident took place on Monday, Jan. 9, at around 7 p.m. 

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest. It accepts phone calls to 1-800-220-TIPS or information provided via a mobile app called P3 Tips or the website p3tips.com. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

“Unwanted guests” were trying to take his belongings and refusing to leave, a Brandywine Drive, Sag Harbor, resident reported to 911 last Thursday, adding that one of them wouldn’t wake up and “may have overdosed.”
