East Hampton Town police reported two accidents with injuries on local roads last week. Last Thursday afternoon, Charles Macfarlane of Richmond, Va., 64, was riding in the bike lane and struck the right rear end of a 2012 Toyota as it turned into the driveway of 387 Montauk Highway in Amagansett. Police said the driver, Andrew Fardig of Smithtown, 32, had failed to yield to the bicyclist, who could not stop in time. Mr. Macfarlane complained of chest pain, but did not require medical attention.

Emi Kalischer of Brooklyn, 33, was looking down at her 2015 Chevrolet’s navigation system in slow-moving traffic Monday morning, she told police, when she rear-ended Patricia Kenner’s 2020 Mazda on Montauk Highway near Daniel’s Hole Road. Ms. Kalischer complained of minor elbow burn and Ms. Kenner, a 75-year-old resident of New York City, of back pain, but both declined medical attention.
