Elena Bosch McCormick of Toilsome Lane in East Hampton, who for nearly 31 years worked at the New World Foundation, which promotes inclusive democracy and progressive social change, died on July 23 at Peconic Landing in Greenport. Ms. McCormick, who had end-stage dementia, was 94.
Ms. McCormick retired from the New World Foundation as its senior assistant treasurer in 1999, having run the organization's finances for many years.
Born on Dec. 31, 1930, in Buenos Aires to Jose Maria Bosch and the former Raquel Achaval, she grew up there, graduating from Michael Ham Memorial College before moving to New York City in 1961. She would remain in New York until 2016.
She and Patrick J. McCormick were married on Dec. 14, 1960. Mr. McCormick died in 2012.
For many years, Ms. McCormick was a member of the Garden Club of East Hampton and the Colony Club in Manhattan. She enjoyed gardening, tennis, golf, skiing, and world travel, her family said.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick McCormick, and his wife, Tracey, of Falls Church, Va., and Michael McCormick and his wife, Maria, of Miami, and three grandchildren. Two sisters also survive, Raquel Bosch of Buenos Aires and Mariana Hort of Switzerland.
Ms. McCormick was cremated and her ashes interred at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Hampton. The date and time of a service at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she was a member, are to be determined.
Her family has suggested memorial contributions to the Ladies Village Improvement Society of East Hampton, at lvis.org/donate.
