Thu, 06/05/2025 - 12:16

Delia Ann English of Lincoln Avenue in Springs died on April 7 of complications of breast cancer. Ms. English, a former corrections officer, was 61.

Born on July 19, 1963, in Rockville Centre to George P. Carpenter and the former Dorothy Garfield, she grew up in Springs and attended the Springs School and East Hampton High School.

She and Michael English were married on Aug. 13, 1988. The family they made was her greatest interest and achievement, her family said.

Mr. English survives, as do the couple's daughters, Kimberly Page and Lauren English, both of Springs. Three grandchildren, Jackson, Isabella, and Jameson Page, also survive.

Ms. English was cremated. Per her wishes, there was no service. Her family has suggested memorial contributions to the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, online at southamptonhospitalfoundation.org or by mail to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, Attn: Southampton Hospital Foundation, 240 Meeting House Lane, Southampton 11968.
