Thu, 06/19/2025 - 09:04

Paid Notice: On June 14th Annette Bengston passed away. She was 98.

Born December 2, 1926, at her grandparents’ farm in Wallingford, Connecticut. After high school she attended and completed secretarial school. Soon thereafter she met a handsome young man that would soon become the love of her life. Annette and George were married June 24, 1950, and were married until his death in 1997.

In 1964 they found their way to Amagansett, where they raised their four children and spent their summers boating with friends and family. While living in Amagansett, Annette was employed for 30 years at Edwards and Duggan Law firm. During this time, she served on the Amagansett School Board for 15 years; four of them as the first woman president. After retiring and moving to Jupiter, Florida, Annette became a masterful bridge player and enjoyed the game up until her final day. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving ways, her infectious smile, and her uncanny way of finding good in all and every situation.

She is survived by three of her four children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
