Thu, 08/12/2021 - 11:59

A graveside service for Daniel King will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Green River Cemetery in Springs.

Mr. King, a bayman whose iconic flagship dory is displayed in front of the East Hampton Town Marine Museum, died on April 12, 2020, in North Carolina. He was 70 and had been in declining health.

A Springs resident for many years, he moved to Hampstead, N.C., in 2005. He is survived by two sons, Anthony King of Hampstead and Eric King of East Hampton, and by two granddaughters and a sister, Sandy Vorpahl of Amagansett. His parents, Virgil King and the former Marion Bennett, died before him.
