The East Hampton boys golf team ended its season with an 11-2 record, its second loss coming at the hands of Westhampton Beach in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk County playoffs on Oct. 29.

The Sag Harbor Cinema’s Festival of Preservation will feature an eclectic program of more than 20 films, including documentaries, musicals, westerns, animation, dramas, and experimental films.

Lance Richardson, the author of a new Peter Matthiessen biography, will discuss it with Alex Matthiessen, the late author’s son and the head of the Peter Matthiessen Center, at the Ram’s Head Inn on Shelter Island.
