Maureen Gaviola, formerly of Montauk, died at home in Pompano Beach, Fla., on Saturday. She was 68. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Montauk.
May is National Bicycle Safety Month, and last Thursday the East Hampton Town Board passed a resolution declaring it Bike Safety Month in the town.
