A Springs man who had been arrested at least twice previously on charges stemming from road rage incidents was charged again on Aug. 15.

There were numerous arrests last week on drunken-driving charges, including four made overnight Saturday during a county-sponsored police sweep.

An East Hampton man was charged with misdemeanor drunken driving in Springs shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday after crashing a sport utility vehicle into a tree, seriously injuring his passenger.

An East Hampton woman, Angelique M. Smith, 39, is facing two felony charges after a domestic altercation with her boyfriend on Aug. 22. East Hampton Town police accused Ms. Smith of repeatedly striking Levy Mwanza before hurling a flowerpot at his head and smashing the front window of his 2003 Ford.
