Washington has been home since 1982, but Amagansett has been my summer escape since 1968, when my parents bought a small house on the bay side of the Napeague stretch. Update, June 7, 1:30 p.m.: Suffolk County police have identified the man killed in Kirk Park in Montauk on Thursday morning as Robert Casado. Mr. Casado was 38 and lived in Montauk. No further information was released.
