The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Fork is now accepting applications for its High Impact Community Outreach program.

For 2024, the program seeks to aid groups that are fulfilling the following community needs: supporting new community members, helping provide access to health care, addressing eldercare loneliness and isolation, and promoting history, cultural heritage, and the Democratic process.

The HICO program seeks to help fund nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and national organizations providing they have offices in any town on the East End: East Hampton, Southampton, Shelter Island, Riverhead, and Southold, as well as the Shinnecock Indian Nation.

Over the last four years, HICO has awarded $156,000 to 25 nonprofits, made possible by the support of Paul Berman, a member of the congregation.

HICO grant applications can be submitted at uucsf.org/hico-overview. Questions can be directed by email to [email protected] or by phone at 631-537-0132. The application deadline is May 1. Awards will be announced in July.
