The East Hampton Lions Club will return to the American Legion Hall in Amagansett to host a blood drive on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.

According to the New York Blood Center, which will collect the donations, whole blood donations and double red-cell donations are sought. The organization says the process usually takes about an hour. A link to schedule an appointment can be accessed online here.

Those donating blood must be age 17 or up — or 16 with a parent or guardian's written permission — and must be in generally good health. Donors must also weigh at least 110 pounds. Additional eligibility guidelines can be found here.

On Tuesday, the New York Blood Center will be collecting donations at the Southampton Fire Department headquarters, 470 Hampton Road, from noon to 6 p.m.
