A Tale of World War II

Tom Clavin of Sag Harbor, the author of 18 books, will be the next guest in the free Meet the Author series at Ashawagh Hall on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Mr. Clavin, whose nonfiction books have covered everything from Wild Bill Hickok to the DiMaggio brothers to the golden age of Las Vegas, will discuss his most recent, "Lightning Down," the story of captured American pilots struggling to survive in the Buchenwald death camp during World War II.

The series is courtesy of the Springs Historical Society and Community Library. New library members will receive a free copy of Bill Henderson's "Book Love."
