Among the food-forward events planned for this weekend are benefits for institutions like Amber Waves Farm, the Springs Food Pantry, and the Amagansett Fire Department.

Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett will hold its summer fund-raiser on Friday at 5:30 p.m. All have been invited to wear their boots and bandannas to a hoedown that will include farm food, locally made wine and beer, an auction, and live music. The party is for those 21 and over. Tickets are $275 and available at amberwavesfarm.org. Proceeds will support the nonprofit organization's education, apprenticeship, community access, and food pantry programs.

A benefit for the Springs Food Pantry will be held on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gardens of the Corbett Estate, the former home of Judith and Gerson Leiber, at 464 Old Stone Highway in Springs. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be on offer. Tickets, available from springsfoodpantry.com, are $150, $175 at the door. Gates will open at 4:30.

The Amagansett Fire Department's annual chicken barbecue happens on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the firehouse. Tickets, which cost $30 for adults and $20 for children, are available at afdbbq.com.
