East Hampton Village’s Tuesday night music series at Main Beach rock and rolls closer to the end of the season with the Hoodoo Loungers and Bayside Tigers tonight at 6, weather permitting. Parking is free, but arriving early has been recommended.

This year, Nick Kraus of the Stephen Talkhouse organized 19 mostly local bands to perform throughout the summer. This coming Tuesday, Aug. 23, Reeb and Inner Roots will perform a reggae double bill.

Dirty Organic and Rum Punch Mafia play on Aug. 30, and Rubix Kube will appear on Sept. 6 to end the summer.

Lifeguards remain on duty until the music ends, and families and friends picnic on the beach for the show completely free of charge. These events are for all age groups. The Beach Hut concession is available for dinner and snacks.

A firework show sponsored by the East Hampton Fire Department will begin at dusk on Saturday. This traditional display has come to mark the end of the summer. No vehicles will be allowed on the beach from Egypt Beach to Georgica Beach the day of the show.
