It's seal-watching season in Montauk.

Carol Andrews of the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will lead a two-mile jaunt through the woods to the seal haul-out site on the shores of Block Island Sound on Saturday at 10 a.m. She will share information about the seal migrations. Binoculars and warm clothing are suggested. The meeting place is on Camp Hero Road, off Route 27, about two miles east of Deep Hollow Ranch. Ms. Andrews can be reached at 631-725-3367 or [email protected] for further information.

There will be two three-mile hikes to see the seals with the Montauk Point State Park guides on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. The cost is $4 per person; children 3 and under are free. Reservations are required as space is limited. Hikers are asked to meet in the lower parking lot at the Montauk Lighthouse, next to the playground, 10 minutes before start time. Reservations can be made by calling 631-668-5000 to reserve or searching "Montauk Point seal hikes" at eventbrite.com.
