Cedar Point State Park, the marshes in Napeague State Park, and Beach Hampton will all undergo aerial mosquito larvae treatment sometime between Monday at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
The Suffolk County Department of Public Works' Division of Vector Control issued a press release saying that the marshes would be treated by spraying VectoPrime FG and Altosid from low altitude helicopters.
"No precautions are recommended to prepare for this spraying, as the helicopter will be flying at a very low level over marsh areas and taking other precautions to control drift into inhabited areas," read the press release. "Human exposure from this operation is unlikely and the products involved have no significant human toxicity."
