East Hampton Art and Design Days will return here for its second iteration on July 9 and continue through July 12. The event will launch at 3:30 p.m. at West Out East on Newtown Lane with Creative Collaboration: From Home to Landscape, a panel discussion with Ann Wolf, Ashley Holden, Ray Booth, Chris LaGuardia, and Clint Smith of Hamptons Cottages and Gardens. Tickets to this program are $20 and can be bought on the event’s website.
Four panel discussions featuring notable designers, writers, editors, and architects will happen at Guild Hall from noon to 4 on July 12. It will start with In Pursuit of Beauty, featuring Charlotte Moss of Charlotte Moss and Co., Margot Shaw, founder and editor in chief of Flower magazine, and Marshall Watson of Marshall Watson Interiors.
Moss, Shaw, and Watson will share perspectives on world-class interiors and sumptuous gardens before joining in a conversation.
Design Stories: Reimagining the Past will follow with Jacqueline Terrebonne, editor in chief of Galerie, Deborah Berke of TenBerke Architects and dean of the Yale School of Architecture, Alex Papachristidis of Alex Papachristidis Interiors and Everyday Elegance, Bryan Graybill of the eponymous design firm, and Cordelia de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Home and Baby Dior.
Moderated by Terrebonne, this conversation will explore how history and tradition can be reinterpreted for contemporary living.
After a break for refreshments and book signing in the garden, the program will resume with From Ho-Hum to Sublime: The Secret Powers of Transforming Rooms. Panelists are Dara Caponigro, creative director of Schumacher and editor in chief of Frederic, Tom Scheerer of Tom Scheerer Inc., and Cathy Kincaid of Cathy Kincaid Interiors.
Kincaid and Scheerer will share their intuitive approaches to transforming interiors, while Caponigro will offer an editorial perspective on blending creativity with livability.
The program will conclude with Amy Astley: AD at Home in the Hamptons, featuring Aerin Lauder, founder and creative director of AERIN, and Sarah Wetenhall, owner of the Colony Hotel, in conversation with Astley, global editorial director and U.S. editor in chief of Architectural Digest.
Astley will take audiences inside some of the Hamptons’ most iconic homes, and share stories from AD featuring Lauder, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, Robert Stilin, and Urs Fischer.
Refreshments and book signing in the garden will follow. Tickets to the Guild Hall program are $163.
All-access passes are required for most other events, which take place at various locations over the four days, but those passes are sold out.
