“Splash,” an exhibition featuring works by Angel Dean, Carol Dranow, Francine Fleischer, Jennifer Hannaford, and Marcie Honerkamp, is now on view at the Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons in Bridgehampton through July 19.

“The feeling is less ‘Look at me’ and more ‘Here I am,’ “ says Wendy Van Deusen, the gallery’s director. “The artists in ‘Splash’ embrace individuality, joy, and self-expression, inviting us to celebrate the freedom that comes from being fully ourselves.”

Hannaford’s swimmers move through the water with an ease that suggests both playfulness and self-acceptance, according to the gallery, while Dean’s bathers are multiplied and joined by tropical fish.

In “Cola Water Idylls,” Dranow’s swimmers hover between the familiar and the surreal. Fleischer is represented by photographs of swimmers in a Mexican underwater swimming hole, shot from above. Honerkamp is known for her mosaic fish and surfboards.
