Exploring Nature and Architecture

Tue, 04/14/2026 - 10:58
Sculpture by Mark Webber will be on view at the Anita Rogers Gallery in Manhattan.

“Keep Moving Forward While Waiting,” a show of new works by Mark Webber, will open at the Anita Rogers Gallery at 494 Greenwich Street in Lower Manhattan with a reception on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Webber, who lives and works in Sag Harbor, continues to explore the combination of home-building materials with found elements from the natural world. Branches grow from ruins and encircle architectural forms, while fields of color produce shifts of light and shadow. In a statement, Webber wrote, “Branches, once part of a living canopy, now engage in a dialogue with the architecture we’ve created — embracing its lines, piercing its planes, or rendering themselves as fine, intricate lines that interact with its imposed geometry.”

The exhibition will continue through May 30.
