Paintings by Nicholas Howey of Bridgehampton are now on view at Bienvenu Steinberg & C Gallery in TriBeCa.

Benefit at Halsey McKay

East Hampton’s Halsey McKay Gallery will be the site of a three-day silent auction fund-raiser and adoption opportunity to benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. The gallery will open Friday at 2 p.m., when the auction will begin on the premises and online at artsy.net. It will be open from noon to 5 on Saturday and Sunday, when bidding will close at 5.

ARF will have dogs for adoption tomorrow from 2 to 3:30 and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2.

Among the 45 participating artists are Linda K. Alpern, Adriana Barone, Max Blagg, Mary Boochever, Peter Dayton, Jamie Diamond, Sabra Moon Elliot, Jackie Hoving, Steve Miller, Pat Place, Miles Partington, Kevin Teare, and Lucy Winton.

Nick Howey in TriBeCa

Nicholas Howey, a painter based in Bridgehampton, has work on view at Bienvenu Steinberg & C Gallery, at 35 Walker Street in TriBeCa, through Feb. 21. The exhibition, “Other Expressions,” features work by nine painters whose individual voices reflect the depth, diversity, and vitality of contemporary abstraction, according to the gallery.

In addition to Mr. Howey, the show has work by Bassim Al Shaker, Randy Bloom, Janis Provisor, Heather Rubinstein, Jackie Saccoccio, Suzanne Song, Francine Tint, and Rafael Vega.
