Marc Dalessio’s painting “Ta Som, Angkor Wat” will be on view at the Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor.

Drawings at Keyes

“OK — Sketchbook Drawings,” a solo show of work by Richard Sigmund (1951-2022), will open at Keyes Art in Sag Harbor with a reception on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and continue through Feb. 20.

Mr. Sigmund’s work was guided by both the everyday poetry of the street and his spiritual practice, according to the gallery. Based in Brooklyn and Springs, he believed that art was shaped by signs, fragments, and chance encounters, and the street itself became a source of imagery. By recontextualizing street-sign language such as “OK” and “OK to turn,” he drew attention to the directive and informative language and symbols that inform the urban landscape.

In addition to his fine-art practice, he was an accomplished art installer whose life was also shaped by yoga and Buddhism.

World Tour at Grenning

“Vacation!” a group show highlighting paintings of various destinations around the world, will open at Sag Harbor’s Grenning Gallery on Saturday, with a reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. It will run through Feb. 8.

In addition to depicting sites around the United States, the works transport the viewer to Australia, France, Cambodia, Croatia, Barcelona, and Tangier, to name a few.

The featured artists are Marc Dalessio, Viktor Butko, Doug Reina, Tina Orsolic Dalessio, Ben Fenske, Rachel Personett, and Paul Rafferty.

Say Cheese (or Caviar), Day or Night

Self Provisions, a storefront attached to Cavaniola’s Gourmet Cheese in Sag Harbor, is “always open,” as is proclaimed by an illuminated sign on the wall at the entrance. Two large, brightly lit vending machines dominate the space, with offerings ranging from sea salt crackers and slabs of French butter to jars of caviar and curated gift boxes — and, of course, cheese.
