Mary Jane Marcasiano's design work includes pieces for Angelique Kidjo, the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter.

The Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons in Bridgehampton is hosting “A Passion for Textiles — Stories From the Cloth,” a conversation among Mary Jane Marcasiano, Usibakaiye (Siba) Agbeyegbe, and Nicky Sandford, Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Ms. Marcasiano founded her design company in 1977 and has received the Cartier, DuPont, Cutty Sark, and Wool Knit awards. She has designed for dance, film, and theater.

A British and Nigerian-trained health care lawyer turned textile artist, Ms. Agbeyegbe transforms ceremonial garments into contemporary apparel, décor, and sculptural forms.

Ms. Sandford is a costume designer and costume buyer for high-end film and television. Her credits include “Bridgerton,” “Cinderella,” and “Moonhaven.”

A reception will begin at 5:30; the talk will follow at 6. Admission is free, but reservations have been encouraged.
