The 58th annual Springs Invitational exhibition is now at Ashawagh Hall through Sunday. This year’s show, which is a fund-raiser for the Springs Improvement Society, has been curated by Donna Corvi, director of the Depot Art Gallery in Montauk.

The art for this year’s poster, “Toxic Garden 13 (Lathyrus),” is a painting by Roy Nicolson. Signed copies are available for purchase, as are catalogs of the exhibition.

Among the 75 participating artists are Aurelio Torres, Carol Hunt, David Slater, Gerry Giliberti, Jennifer Cross, Jeremy Dennis, Kerry Sharkey-Miller, Linda K. Alpern, Michael Butler, and Stephanie Brody-Lederman.

Say Cheese (or Caviar), Day or Night

Self Provisions, a storefront attached to Cavaniola’s Gourmet Cheese in Sag Harbor, is “always open,” as is proclaimed by an illuminated sign on the wall at the entrance. Two large, brightly lit vending machines dominate the space, with offerings ranging from sea salt crackers and slabs of French butter to jars of caviar and curated gift boxes — and, of course, cheese.
