"Twelfth Night: A Stroll Through Shakespeare's Illyria," an examination of the text of the comedy, will bring mirth, romance, and ribaldry to the Montauk Library on Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

The play is directed by Josh Gladstone and stars Kate Mueth and Mr. Gladstone, the co-founder of the Hamptons Shakespeare Festival and the former artistic director of Guild Hall's John Drew Theater. "Twelfth Night," he has said, is "the most delicious of Shakespeare's masterpiece comedies," adding that audiences will come away with a richer understanding of the play after the 90-minute program.

An actor, director, and choreographer, Ms. Mueth founded the Neo-Political Cowgirls to address the lack of performance opportunities and stories by and about women on the East End.

For those who want to reacquaint themselves with "Twelfth Night," the library's classic book club will read the play this afternoon at 4 p.m. on Zoom. Links are available from [email protected].
