As of Tuesday afternoon, the American flamingo that first appeared at Georgica Pond on May 31 continued to draw bird lovers to East Hampton. In just the last week, over 100 birders trekked down the beach to view the bird and submit lists to eBird.

The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society has organized a moderate hike of slightly more than two miles on Wednesday that will include a private tour of the Folly Tree Arboretum in Springs.
Founded in 2013 by Tucker Marder as a cultural archive of trees, the arboretum is dedicated to ecological storytelling and promoting an environmental ethic through art and science. Mr. Marder will lead the tour on Wednesday.
