Stacey Abrams on Leadership

Thu, 07/16/2026 - 08:31

It’s nearly two weeks out, but now’s the time to secure tickets for a discussion between the Democratic heavyweight Stacey Abrams and Ken Miller, an activist, author, and financier, at Guild Hall. Presented by the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center, this Thinking Forward lecture will take place on July 28, a Tuesday, at 7 p.m.

The focus of the talk, according to a release, will be “leadership, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and the importance of creating a more equitable future.”

Ms. Abrams was the minority leader of the Georgia House of Representatives and a two-time Democratic nominee for Georgia governor. Trained as a tax attorney, she is an entrepreneur who helped launch Nourish, co-founded Insomnia Consulting, and published “Level Up,” a guide for fellow entrepreneurs, with her business partner. She has also written two children’s books, romance suspense novels, and political thrillers.

Mr. Miller is president and C.E.O. of Ken Miller Capital, which invests in early-stage companies. He has served on the boards of Viacom, Loews, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, in addition to the Bridgehampton Child Care Center.

Tickets cost $40 and can be bought through Guild Hall’s website.
