East Hampton Village will close Newtown Lane to traffic Saturday afternoon for a family block party that will run from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be carnival games, including a bucking bronco, available free of charge, street performers, and music by D.J. Nice and the band Hot Date.

Food will be available for purchase from Mattitaco, Exotic Bowls, Lilah’s Little Bakery, Smokin’ Wolf, Augies Doggies, the Lobster Roll, the Blue Parrot, and Sant Ambroeus, along with libations from the Montauk Brewery and Montaukila. Plus, the village’s other eateries will be open for business.

This is the second village block party held on Newtown Lane. Last October, the street was closed for a party as the Yankees faced the Los Angeles Dodgers in game two of the World Series.
