It was an unprecedented winter season for the Ross Lower School’s boys basketball teams. The third-and-fourth-grade and fifth-and-sixth-grade teams were undefeated going into their final games last weekend, drawing so much attention that Josh Hart, the New York Knicks’ star guard, sent them a good luck message over Instagram.

The fifth and sixth graders finished the season unbeaten, with a 7-0-1 record, sealing the deal with a 37-36 win at Sag Harbor Middle School on Sunday.

The third and fourth graders ended the season 6-1-1, losing 46-38 to Forst Construction at home on Saturday.
