The Hamptons International Film Festival will hold its first awards dinner on Oct. 11. It will honor Emily Blunt, Killer Films, Albert Maysles, and Stuart Match Suna. Mr. Suna is stepping down as chairman after this year’s festival. He will continue as chairman emeritus while Alec Baldwin and Randy Mastro will take over as co-chairs. Mr. Baldwin will present an award to him for his 18 years of leadership for the organization.Ms. Blunt is a British-American actress known for films such as “The Devil Wears Prada,” “The Young Victoria,” “Looper,” and “Into the Woods.” She will be given the Variety Creative Impact in Acting Award. She came to the festival previously as one of the Ten Actors to Watch, then called HIFF’s Rising Stars, in 2005.Killer Films, founded by Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. They are also the founding heads of Stony Brook Southampton’s new M.F.A. in film program. They will be given the HIFF Industry Award for the “creative, risk-taking movies” they have produced, such as “Still Alice,” “Far From Heaven,” and “Boys Don’t Cry.”Albert Maysles, a pioneering documentary filmmaker known for iconic films such as “Grey Gardens” and “Gimme Shelter,” will receive a posthumous tribute. Maysles died in March.The film festival takes place from Oct. 8 to Oct. 12 this year. Tickets go on sale on Sept. 26 at box offices in New York City, East Hampton, and Southampton.
