For Betty Mazur

Wed, 06/01/2022 - 17:45

A memorial service for Betty Mazur, a former chairwoman of the East Hampton Town Democratic Committee who died last summer, will be held on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at her favorite place, the ocean beach between Clinton Academy Lane and Treasure Island Drive in Amagansett.

A constant presence in South Fork politics, Ms. Mazur died on June 16, 2021, at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital during a scheduled procedure. She was 90.

The memorial service will happen rain or shine. Those planning to attend have been asked to park at the Atlantic Avenue Beach parking lot and walk east on the beach to the area between 5A and 6A.
