Sag Harbor's Waterfront Moratorium Is Extended

In collaboration with New York Natural Heritage Program and Cornell Cooperative Extension, Save the Sound's private donors sponsored a first-of-its-kind dive: five days underwater to survey biodiversity where the Long Island Sound and Peconic Estuary empty around 822-acre Plum Island.
The Springs School District's construction management firm, Park East, reported Monday that there are still quite a few items left on its to-do list in the ongoing expansion and renovation project, but that it is on schedule and slated to be done before students return on Sept. 9.
The Hamptons International Film Festival will return this year beginning on Oct. 7 with a fully in-person schedule of events and the opening night film "The First Wave" by Matthew Heineman.
