Sheila Dunne Jones Bono, a retired special education teacher who worked first in East Hampton and later at the Tuckahoe School in Southampton, died of complications of a stroke on April 15 at the Acadia Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Riverhead. She was 80.

On April 30, police got a call from a passer-by about “a male subject opening doors with a crowbar” at the Sands Motel.
