Montauk Blessing of the Fleet Is Sunday

Thu, 06/05/2025 - 12:33

The Montauk Blessing of the Fleet will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at the mouth of Montauk Harbor. Sponsored by the Montauk Boatmen and Captains Association, and hosted in collaboration with the Viking Fleet, St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, the Montauk Community Church, and Chabad of the Hamptons, the event marks the true start of the boating season.

Clergy will bestow blessings as the boats leave the harbor, wreaths will be tossed in memory of watermen and waterwomen who died over the past year, and an after-party will follow at the Inlet Seafood restaurant on East Lake Drive.
