The next guest in the Springs Historical Society’s Meet the Author series is Dava Sobel, a Pulitzer Prize finalist and the author of “Galileo’s Daughter.” Ms. Sobel, who lives in Springs, will be at Ashawagh Hall on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to talk about her latest, “The Elements of Marie Curie: How the Glow of Radium Lit a Path for Women in Science.”

Named a best science and nature book of the year by The Guardian, it sheds light on the revolutionary discoveries made by Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and a pioneer for women in science.
